Barlow Rd. Bike-n-Hike parking lot
Everyone,
For the Wednesday Morning Ride, July 3rd we will be riding through the Cuyahoga Valley. The route will be primarily roads and ending on the Bike-n-Hike. This will be a loop in the valley with a total distance of 33 miles and 1,200 ft. of climbing. We will have a rest stop at a local venue or just a quick stop to refuel. We will be leaving the Barlow Rd. Bike-n-Hike parking lot at 9:00 am. This year we will have two groups if necessary. The faster group will ride at a pace of 15 - 16 mph. The slower group will ride at a pace of 12 to 13 mph. There will be someone leading the slower group and if possible, someone will lead the faster group. We will regroup as needed. Like all ABC rides, this ride is for current members and first-time guest.
Please arrive at least 10 minutes before start time to allow for adequate check in time. As always, helmets are required on all ABC rides. Also, no ear buds and no use of cell phones for talk, text, or music while riding. It is also advised during daylight hours to use a good tail light and headlight when riding on public roads. These promote safety and alert drivers to our presence during all hours of the day. Please obey all traffic laws…safety is everyone’s responsibility. Also, make sure that your bike is properly maintained and is in good working condition. Each rider is expected to bring extra tubes, pump, multi-tool, etc. for any mechanicals you may encounter.
Thanks, Phil
