Always the same route, always the same fun: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/46706055
This group rides exclusively on roads at generally a 14-16mph pace with groups of like riders spread out. There is one regroup at the top of Major (across the street on Stine because it‘s more shady). Not a "no-drop ride" but we will make sure you get in ok. We leave promptly at 6pm so please be on time.
Barlow Rd. Bike-n-Hike parking lot
Everyone,
For the Wednesday Morning Ride, Oct, 2nd we will be riding to the Tallmadge Circle with a rest stop at a local venue. The route will be a combination of public roads and the Stow Bike-n-Hike and the Freedom Trail with flat to rolling hills. This will be a loop route with a total distance of 32 miles. We will be leaving the Barlow Rd. Bike-n-Hike parking lot at 9:30 am. This year we will have two groups if necessary. The faster group will ride at a pace of 15 - 16 mph. The slower group will ride at a pace of 12 to 13 mph. There will be someone leading the slower group and if possible, someone will lead the faster group. We will regroup as needed. Like all ABC rides, this ride is for current members and first-time guest.
Please arrive at least 10 minutes before start time to allow for adequate check in time. As always, helmets are required on all ABC rides. Also, no ear buds and no use of cell phones for talk, text, or music while riding. It is also advised during daylight hours to use a good tail light and headlight when riding on public roads. These promote safety and alert drivers to our presence during all hours of the day. Please obey all traffic laws…safety is everyone’s responsibility. Also, make sure that your bike is properly maintained and is in good working condition. Each rider is expected to bring extra tubes, pump, multi-tool, etc. for any mechanicals you may encounter.
Thanks, Phil
