The forecast is for the 80's Saturday. Likely a high 60's starting temp. The starting time for the ride will move earlier to 9:00AM.
We will have two groups again. Expect a 15-16 mph average or 17-18 mph average, based on which group you join. Joe will lead the faster group.
Randy is out this weekend - I'm looking for a volunteer to lead the second group. Please email me if you can help out.
We will again have one distance, 47 miles, for both groups.
There are many changes to our approach to our club rides due to the pandemic. Please read the attached MSWord document and be prepared to abide by and support these new rules. The health and safety of our riders is our primary objective.
A few callouts:
· We will not be passing out or sharing materials during the ride. This includes cue sheets. Please bring to the ride some means of following the route, either your bike computer or a printout of the cue sheet.
· And we will not be stopping as a group at any time for an organized, sit down food stop. This is another CoViD thing. To be safe, bring any hydration / nutrition you anticipate needing. If needed, we can stop at a convenience store or gas station to get additional supplies.
See you Saturday,
Randy & Joe
P.S. The pdf cue sheets are now a feature of the club ride with gps account. You can download them directly. Email us if you have problems accessing the advanced cue sheets.
And now the pre-pandemic fine print: Helmets are required on all ABC rides. Please no use of earbuds, or cell phones while riding. Recommend use of rear view mirrors.. By law (and for your safety) a headlight, rear reflector and tail light is required 30 minutes prior to sunset, and recommended at all times for additional safety. Please obey all traffic laws. Safety is everyone’s responsibility. Rides are for members and first time guests. See Akronbike.org for more information or to become a member. Come Ride With Us and Enjoy The Ride
