ABC Riders,
Last Saturday we had a great turnout for our July 4th ride to Lake Erie!
This week, in honor of our (gone virtual) Absolutely Beautiful Country ride, we are offering the ABC 50 and 62 mile routes. The routes will start in Copley and head south to Seville and return through Doylestown.
Please note we have moved our start time up to 8AM due to the summer heat.
Temperatures are rising quickly in the mornings, reaching 80F usually by 10AM. Bring ample hydration at the start of the ride.
Please make sure you are ready to start the ride at 8:00AM
- arrive by 7:45AM to ensure you and your bike are ready to ride at 8:00
- check your bike and gear before arriving in the morning (please, no mechanicals before the ride has even started!)
There are many changes to our approach to our club rides due to the pandemic. Please read the attached MSWord document and be prepared to abide by and support these new rules. The health and safety of our riders is our primary objective.
A few callouts:
- We will not be passing out or sharing materials during the ride. This includes cue sheets. Please bring to the ride some means of following the route, either your bike computer or a printout of the cue sheet.
- And we will not be stopping as a group at any time for an organized, sit down food stop. This is another CoViD thing. To be safe, bring any hydration / nutrition you anticipate needing. If needed, we can stop at a convenience store or gas station to get additional supplies.
See you Saturday,
Joe & Randy
